Spray System Automation
For many users, automation is the best way to achieve optimization because of the effectiveness and efficiency it offers. Many conditions can be monitored by our AutoJet(R) Spray Controllers -- and automatically corrected is undesirable changes are detected. If the controller cannot resolve the problem, alarms are activated to prompt human intervention and/or shut down the system before performance suffers.
Conditions Monitored by the Controller Include:
- Liquid pressure
- Atomizing air pressure
- Fan air pressure
- Spray gun cycle time
- External process conditions including temperature and humidity
- Liquid level
- Flow rates
- Sensor errors
- Internal temperature of controller
- Conveyer/production line speed
- System Integrity Checking that automatically detects worn, plugged or missing spray nozzles
Quality and Cost Savings Can Result from Automation
In addition to ensuring trouble-free operation with minimal manual intervention, a dedicated spray controller can improve quality by optimizing speed, accuracy and repeatability of automatic spray nozzles while lowering consumption of liquid and chemicals because of higher precision. In many applications, an upgrade can pay for itself very quickly.
We can help you assess and document how automation may optimize spray performance in your application. We can also help you calculate the potential savings of spray automation and the expected payback period.
